I’ve come to the realization that I am a Productivity Addict. Is there a PAA?
My day does not necessary consist of being productive. What I mean by Productivity Addict, is that I’m addicted to gadgets, and hacks, and websites, and tools that could — in theory — make my life more productive. I love toys.
Lifehacker.com, AutoHotkey, Rememberthemilk.com, and a million other tips, tricks, hacks, and programs invade my daily routine. Approaching this originally as a need for actual productivity caused me much stress. I simply wasn’t being productive. Wasting time and energy attempting to get all my ducks in a row, and my hacks in place before I would even make a stab at the actual project.
This is a hobby. I’m coming to terms with that fact. And I’m not the only one. I know you are out there. There is a great post at lifehacker about being a Productivity Hobbyist.
You modify your GTD system on a weekly basis.
Um, yes… maybe even daily. I haven’t quite got it perfect since I’m still spending time on the system. Once it’s perfect I’ll be like a machine… at least that’s what I tell myself.
You’ve ever emptied your geek bag, taken a picture, and then shared the picture
Yes. Though, it’s been a while so it might be time for some new ones.
